Our Story

Ascentan was founded on a simple truth: people are an organization’s most valuable asset.

Our journey began in 2009 with the launch of Gold in People, a firm dedicated to connecting companies with top Accounting and Finance talent. The name reflected our belief that great people are as essential and enduring as gold.

As client needs grew, so did we. By 2012, we expanded into Information Technology and Project Resources, helping organizations navigate complex initiatives. In 2014, we launched Gold-G3 to keep technology and project services distinct from our finance roots.

In 2018, following a buyout of my co-founder, I became the sole owner and steward of the business. Then came the pandemic. Like many firms, we faced immense challenges. But rather than close our doors, we reimagined our future. In 2019, I brought together colleagues and close friends, Patrick and Jayme, to rebrand and unify our services under a single identity. Together, we created Ascentan — a name born from our faith and commitment to always moving upward.

The name is more than a brand — it’s a reflection of our values, faith, and resilience.

As for me, Ascentan is the culmination of both professional experience and personal legacy. Before launching the firm, I built my career in corporate finance with large enterprises, rapidly moving through leadership roles. Yet, like my stepfather and grandfather before me, I couldn’t ignore my entrepreneurial drive.

Today, Ascentan brings together more than a decade of experience in Accounting & Finance, IT, Engineering, Professional Services, and Project Resources. Our story is one of growth, perseverance, and faith — but most importantly, it’s about helping our clients and candidates write their own stories of success.
